Dear Judge, We’re excited to announce the launch of our Judges Education Programme (JEP) Breed Shows online platform – a new resource designed to simplify and support the judging experience for all levels of breed show judges.
What the platform offers Judges can easily upload and manage their details, exams and experienceAccess essential educational materials and stay informed about the latest requirements in breed judgingBreed clubs no longer need to maintain separate judging lists (A1/2/3, B, C), as judges now manage their own profiles on the platformShow secretaries can find judges for all levels (1-6) in one convenient “Find a Judge” section The platform has been developed over several years to cater to all levels of judges – from those aspiring to judge for the first time to experienced professionals judging championship groups and Best in Show.
Supporting judges and clubs Last month we hosted a series of webinars demonstrating the platform and addressing questions from judges, exhibitors and clubs. For those who were unable to attend, we’ll be offering live demonstrations and guidance at Manchester Championship Dog Show (16-19 January 2025).
Accessing the platform and support The platform is available via your Kennel Club account. Visit the JEP section of our website and select ‘Judges Education Platform’ from the left-hand column on your dashboard to get started. If you need support in navigating the platform, please take a look at our frequently asked questions. You can also watch our video, available on The Kennel Club Academy.
Why am I being asked to complete level 1? If you’re being asked to complete level 1, it might mean we need to clean up your data on our system. Please email us so that we can resolve this issue for you. As a level 4, 5 or 6 judge you should automatically skip level 1.
Why can’t I see some of my seminar data? Ahead of the launch, we have imported all the data we could match. However, as some of our records date back to 1999 and certain judges may not yet have an account with us, this might mean that some judges are initially unable to locate their information. To ensure we can support you effectively, if you notice any missing seminars, please complete our online form with the date of the seminar, instructor and which one it was. A member of our team will be on hand to assist you and let you know once resolved.
The latest information can be found on the Kennel Club website and it is constantly being updated.
Elaine Roberts is very happy to organise Mentoring sessions for people who have the necessary qualifications or to help in any other way she can.
